The challenge
The office needed local IT support that could be tracked and reviewed by management. Resolving individual issues was only part of the need: support hours, procurement and follow-up actions also needed a clear record.
What we put in place
- Ticket-based intake and assigned ownership
- Service-level tracking and escalation discipline
- Support-hour logging and closure notes
- Local procurement coordination
- A structure for management reporting and quarterly review planning
What became visible
Management gained a clearer way to review local issues, support time and procurement activity. Ticket records and documented follow-ups provided a basis for discussing recurring problems and improvement priorities.
The lesson
A regional office does not need to look like a large IT department to operate with discipline. It needs an agreed process, clear responsibilities and records that people can use.
